Just got notice about 1.5 hours ago.

The process of adjudicating my case was started this morning about 10am Vermont time ... the date was changed on the USCIS website and my Senator's office has been updating us by email via Vermont today.

This was an expedite under the criteria of National Interest backed up with Financial Hardship, Humanitarian, a US Army Commander and a kick ####### Senator.

I'm a bit happy at the moment, so I will post the details of the expedite later in a hope that it will help others too.

Right now I just want to hug the Colonel and especially the Senator .... the man whose team made this happen!

Expedites are not impossible

.... I also want to thank a certain person on this website who truly pi**ed me off last week as without her I wouldn't have had the fire up my ####### to pull the paperwork together so quickly ... and involve every Tom, ####### and his dog in my case to get it approved.

May 6th 2008 : NVC received & case# generated

May 15th 2008 : NVC generated & mailed DS 3032 & AOS Fee Bill

May 28th 2008 : DS 3032 Sent (E-mailed / Auto Response)

June 4th 2008 : AOS shows PAID on website, THEN REJECTED twice

June 11th 2008 : AOS bill finally accepted. Shows PAID on website.

June 25th 2008 : Paid $400.00 IV Bill

June 26th 2008 : IV Bill shows PAID on website.

June 30th 2008 : Mailed DS-230 package to NVC.

July 11th 2008 : Called NVC. Automated message stated CASE COMPLETE!

August 8th 2008: Called NVC and spoke with operator. She stated Sept 29th at 9am is when the interview is scheduled for.

Sept 29th 2008: Wife had interview. Medical exam was about to expire before our flight so we had to get another one. Mailed it in to the embassy and got wife's visa a few days later in the mail.

Oct. 20th 2008: Wife, daughter and myself arrive back in America. POE took a whole 10 or 15 minutes.

Oct. 21st - forever: Happy to be with my wife and baby girl.

Thanks Amastar .... I bet that was hard putting your lovely wife and baby back on the plane :blink: .... I hope you've got the NVC part together now and cracking on with it. I hope you've got an earlier interview too because of baby.

It's nice to have you back with us though, I'm sure we'll all keep you company for that little while longer .... at least you'll have a rough timeline, which I pray is short.

I think my case started the transfer to NVC last night as it was touched again .... pretty sure thats the outgoing touch to close the file at USCIS. Will call NVC later today and see what the deal is .... I understand that VSC files often arrive within 24 hours .... if not I'm sure it will be tomorrow.
