Congrats! Just wondering, following your topic - I thought i read somewhere the tax return has to be notarized? Anyone know if that's true?

Thanks!

Joey :star:

And so he did what countless punk-rock songs had told him to do so many times before: he lived his life

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

Good luck out there!

The only thing that must be notarized is the affidavait of support.

Notorization just confirms the identity of the person signing the document. I fyou didn't sign it, it can't be notarized.

Thanks! As i read it it was just the 134 since well, exactly what would they be witnessing on a tax return? And I haven't seen anything that says the letter from employer has to be notarized so I'm going to think that that's fine as long as it's on company paper. I mean, it'll be obvious I didn't steal it from some business or make it up since my pay stubs have the same company name on it!

Thanks again :star:

:D Okay guys... so I just got through to the NVC... spoke with a very nice lady... gave her my CSC reciept number... and she said that NVC had received our petition TODAY... and she gave me the NVC case number...

Okay... i am so excited now... will you guys please help me with the next step?

Of course, I will receive all correspondence through my attorney... but, I am hoping that I have everything in order...

1) Have original NOA1 & NOA2 (will get that from attorney)

2) Tax transcripts for 3 years

3) NEW letter of intent

4) Got co-sponsor (just in case... don't think I will need it tho...)

5) Will get letter from my bank

What else? My mind is a little overwhelmed at the moment... any and all advice will be very much appreciated!

Thanks everyone!

Lynne

The affidavit of support need to be notarized but you need to sign it in front of the notarize. Good luck Lynne, you're almost there! (F)

my attorney has my tax files from 2002 - 2004... but, she says she does NOT have them...although I know she does... she can't find them... so, I called the toll-free number and got my tax transcripts for 2002 - 2005 (two copies)... will I still need my w-2's for these years?
