At this moment I should be in the Philippines visiting the woman I met online several months ago but I canceled a few days before I was supposed to leave.

I just encourage everyone who is starting this process to keep your ears open to any inconsistencies and always be open and transparent about everything with your partner and demand the same.

I wish everyone happiness and a successful marriage.

May God bless everyone here,

I am sorry to hear things did not work out. May God bless you, too.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Sorry to hear about this... I hope you won't get discouraged and is still willing to choose a Filipina as your future wife. While it's true that there are some Pinays who will take you for granted, MOST of us can truly love you with all our hearts. We wish you happiness!

FORGIVEN

That's really too bad. I know that we both wish you the best in your future. It's too bad that your dreams were dashed, but God has a plan for you and it will be greater than you can ever imagine. While it may suck now, your future is assured.

May God bless everyone here,

Don't know what you're/ her problem was but as more and more people in other countries are becoming computer literate. There are more and more players and "scammers" online.

It's getting to the point where it's becoming very difficult to determine if you have a "straight shooter" when you meet online.

I know peeps who met online and even went and stayed [married also] and ended up getting scammed after going thru the immigration process.

Better now if one gets a potential mate referred by a relative or friend.

I totally agree with Mae. However men must also remember that the essence of a woman is inconsistent. What! :P I'm just being honest. Anyway, good luck in your future endeavors.

Cheers!!!

Forgiven,

I am sorry that things didn't work as you had hoped. If nothing else, good on you for listening to your inner voice and seeking out the truth. A lot of people want to believe that the people they let into their lives have the best of intentions. They intentionally gloss over inconsistencies and never seek the truth. It sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, if despite all of these intense feelings you were able to see the truth. You are very strong, and will grow as a person as a result of this. Your character has certainly shown through, as you did not utter a disparaging word, held you head high and kept your post very matter of fact. You have wonderful qualities that shine through, even in the toughest of times.

Hey Jeff you are lucky you found out early. I hope you didn't cancel that trip yet so you can meet some real Filipinas instead of just the online.

I feel for you man.. I don't know what to say. I know most if not all Filipinas are 100% REAL.

But in all cultures.. there will be girls that mislead and cheat. I just feel really bad for you.. and I know with Gods help... you will find the Love of your life...

just like I found my Zandy.

it's taken several serious relationships and a bad marriage for me to finally find her. And if you persist and pray..God will grant your wish.

Good luck Man..
