Wow Gary very nice.

Do you do hats in leather? (Bushmaster/fedora type)

Right now I am limiting myself to the kits that tandy has. http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com

They are already cut and punched so all I have to do is tool the designs, color and seal the leather and stitch them together. Later when I get better at it I will buy patterns and do everything from scratch. I didn't see any hats in the catalog but I am sure there are some project patterns out there for them.

ooooh! NICE.... gonna sell them to us?????? :D

Luz's friends at work are already asking for special orders. When you consider it takes me 4-5 days to complete a purse like the big one they get sticker shock when I tell them what I would need to get for them to make it worthwhile. I do know I have seen things like this at craft fairs for more than $150 for the big purse. The picture I posted isn't very good, the flash washed out the detail. Here is a little better picture without the flash:

Good job Gary i like it :wow: If you want some unsual fancy fonts you can download it in this website http://www.1001freefonts.com/ or just use your google toolbar and type Downloadable Fonts. After you download you paste it on your PC (mycomputer/C:/windows/Fonts). Most of it are in zip format , unzip it before pasting. Then follow what Kathryn41 said.

I have a sample for you

Thanks Gary... I'll actually look into some hats down in Colombia in July... they come in handy in all weather conditions and some are actually really nice with a T-shirt and jeans.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

A long time ago I was into leather working, you know, carving designs into handbags, wallets and belts. A few weeks ago I found a Tandy store and decided to pick the hobby back up. I have done several projects for Luz and Robin and for my latest one Luz wants some fancy lettering on it. My skills at calligraphy are very limited but if I had some patterns I could transfer them to the leather for carving. Anyone have some stencils or outlines for fancy cursive lettering? I need them to be about 2" tall.

Here are some of the things I have made so far:

Hi Gary..

That's great.. You know you can do business on that like exporting and sell it there in the US.. Here in the Middle East, there is a lot of bags made from India but it look similar on what you did.. Ask me how much the price??? Very expensive..

You can even ask amazon and be a Vendor to them, at least you dont pay for any place but them..
