Hello To all,

I have a some questions:

Case:

My fiance is a US citizen and i am in india. He had applied for K1 visa.

i didnt got Packet 3 which sent by Mumbai Us consulate, then i personally get the packet 3 forms from Mumbai US consulate & after fill-up the form , i submited there. It has been 10 days to submit packet 3 form.

Now how can i know the status of my case.?

is there any online information available.?

Will my fiance get update about packet 3 submit from my side.?

Hey congrats! Well, since you submitted packet 3 you can email the embassy, or rather I believe your US fiance can email the us embassy and ask them if/when they received packet 3. I emailed them probably four times a week after they received packet 3 to see if they had scheduled the interview yet. After about a few weeks they told me they had scheduled our interview for july 7th. So basically you can just email the embassy and see the status of the case.

some consulates post the interview dates on their websites - you just need your case number to do the search (if Bombay posts the interviews). In any case, they also mail you the packet 4 which has the interview date along with medical info etc. - sometimes this packet takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the number of applicants at the consulate. Good Luck
