Thanks for the Portuguese lesson!!! Great Conversation

I understood everything..... Relax everyone!

But I can agree with who waited for a long time or is still waiting for their approval!!

A gente sofre juntas.

XOXO

Renata

Congratulations on your speedy approval!!!

Please don't allow anyone to change your mood and feel happy on your approval!!

Since when does it make it right to come to someones threat that simply relates that they were approved to start making smart remarks and downright bashing her into saying she's sorry for getting approved and how wrong this is????

And then name calling .. hypocrite? I dont know to whom that was written for.. but who can say they would refuse the approval in the same timeline as this lucky person???

Comeon.. yes the system is a mess.. but take ur bad mouthing to the other threads there is millions of them!

If you can do this and your case is not approved, then put it to use on the proper agencies.. not a simple VJr that had nothing to do with it!

You guys!

As I oppened my gmail account this morning, I got an email from CRIS and was all excited that I might have gotten a touch but also afraid that I might have had a RFE! But to my surprise, I got this email:

The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: WAC08XXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On May 15, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Case Status and Processing Dates.

*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message.

Sincerely,

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

I don't know what to do! What do I do nooow?! I was expecting my visa for October 2008!

I have to quit my job, do exams, vaccines, etc, etc, I haven't even started! What's the next step?

Help me!

I'm So happy for you! Well, we started on the same day, now you can go ahead and let me know what comes next ;)

yippeeee!

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hi,

Parabens!!!!!!!! and I hope everyone can get a speed approval too!!

i just have one questions: doesnt she need the I130 approval too??? what happen now??

Thanks you guys! It's good to see that some people are happy for others (instead of trying to push them down). I was really upset with what happened yesterday. She had no right to come down on me. But somehow I understand her anger.

Well, I guess I set a record alright. I mean, 16 days?! I don't even think that expedites are so fast! lol

Nessa, yes, I am a workaholic. I've been working for the same company for the last 3 years. They have been really good to me and I don't think it's fair to give them a 1 week notice or a 1 month notice. I will tell them on Monday, so that they have time to find somebody else and for me to train that new person. Also, I need to get my "FGTS", so I need them to fire me. This is why I need to do things right.

What I have to do? Send an email to NVC and get my Rio de Janeiro Number. Once I get that, I can ask for the exams, and background checks (atestado de antecedentes criminais), take all vaccines. Without that number, I have my hands tied, especially because that number has to be included on my exams, background checks, etc etc.

I don't need to wait for the approval of the I130 anymore. I have been approved on my I129F and that allows me to do the interview. If I am granted the K3 visa, I can enter the USA and wait for the approval of the I130 there with my husband. Once it's approved, I ask for the AOS (Adjustment of Status). Actually, I don't know. Do I need to wait for the I130's approval or can I ask for the AOS without it?

After that, I can be with the hubby forever! YAY!

Thank you guys for your support. I am so very happy with my approval!

I wish you all a very very very speedy process! Even faster than mine!

Dont worry about it. You have no need to feel bad, you should feel great. An incredible piece of luck! We have been waiting over 8 months now and are sick of this process - it's just crazy. I posted earlier on this thread and you can see I was pissed off, with the system not you. Sure, it does make a lot of us spit fire. This is such a long and painful process and it brings me and my wife down. Why do some get approved so fast and others take forever? Who knows? But seriously, that is not your fault so you have every right to party you ####### off. How can anyone be mad with you, we dont know you! It's a broken system in many respects and that is what people are angry at. I think perhaps sometimes people just vent anger in the wrong way and at the wrong people.

So sincere congratulations to you. I hope you have a speedy path through the NVC.

Cheers and good luck.

Hi Dave! Thank you sooo much for your support!

I know. People get angry because of this USCIS mess and I understand. I am not blaming anybody. I know that I would be just as pissed if I was waiting for 9 months and somebody got approved in 16 days. I would feel like throwing things at everybody.

But I have no control of the process and hell yeah, I am happy about for approved so fast!

I know we all just want to be with our honeys and soon we all will, right?!

I'm not raining on anyone's parade

I'm just saying what everyone is thinking but has no guts to post

Lucky her etc etc

but f*uk that, I am not happy about this, I can't be happy about this after refreshing USCIS case status online page everyday for 9 months waiting for an approval

yes, you are raining on the parade. this entire ordeal isn't easy nor for the impatient, so get used to it.

also note - ewok does not like for other than english to be used outside the regional forums. if you two wish to converse in portuguese, this is a good thread to do so

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99253

Absolutely. English only in this forum please.

I'm from São Paulo

and I admit, I'm venting on the poor girl

I'll stop

So, how about an apology (in English) then? Your venting was inappropriate and aimed entirely at the wrong person.

You are welcome.

Now stop feeling you have to justify and explain it all to everyone and go enjoy it!

I agree.

I think all of you here who are b!tching at the OP should back off. VJ is here for SUPPORT. Don't take your frustrations out of the OP - she's done nothing wrong.

Thank you.
