Ok. I've been sitting around trying to figure out how this could happen. Here's what I've come up with so far:

A group of adjudicators are sitting around talking to each other and goofing off when the boss walks in. Instinctively, they all grab the nearest case file and start looking busy. If the boss happens to stay in the room for a while, the case gets approved. Otherwise, the case gets a random touch and is set down where it disappears back into the clutter and waits for a few more months.

Anyone else got other ideas?

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

I'm not mad at anyone, I'm mad at USCIS for messing up our lives.

And with or without backlog, a K3 petition does not go through USCIS in 17 days. It never did. This was a mistake, someone ###### up.

Or maybe someone decided to work.... Nobody knows how things work at CSC. Don't say it's a mistake, you can't know that.

Or maybe we just got lucky.

people can what if it all day long and try to rain on your parade. the important thing is you got it, so congrats.

I'm not raining on anyone's parade

I'm just saying what everyone is thinking but has no guts to post

Your post doesn't represent what I'm thinking. She has no control over her approval process. Yes, I wish mine would go quicker, but that doesn't mean that I'm not happy for her.

actually, yes, it is a mistake

if it was not a mistake, everyone else would be approved too

uscis average for K3 is 6 months

somebody must have put your petition on the top of a pile instead of putting it at the bottom

Well, just to let it clear for you, Elbereth, I did not ask for any of this to happen. I don't know anyone at CSC, did not pay anybody, or whatever.

Maybe they did something, or did whaterver else... yeah, yeah yeah.... etc etc... I got approved.

I don't feel good either about being approved in front of everybody else, but I also cannot give my approval to anybody else, can I?

Elbereth, I strongly suggest that you talk to the council at your wife's interview. HE/SHE is the only one who can do something about this.

Don't throw rocks at me or use foul language, because I have nothing to do with this. Maybe the boss came in the office when the adjudicator was going through my process and I was put on the top of the pile... who knows? Maybe they thought I was a good girl and got me an early Christmas present. :innocent:

And hell yeah, I am happy for that. Could not be any happier - just as you'd be if your case would have been approved in 17 days. Thank you for your exciting demonstration of happiness though!

msnoob thank you for your support. It is highly appreciated.

A gente sofre juntas.

XOXO

She got a lucky break, now get over it.

The approved ones thats b**tching, get over it, and move on the NVC or whatever.

The ones still waiting, keep on B*tching at USCIS , "like me."

We all wish we all in her shoes, our time will come.

Yeah its not fair, but she did nothing to get her fast approval, call up USCIS and b*tch at them.

Take frustrations out on USCIS.

Sorry!

"Look, I completely understand you. One of my best friends is also going through this for 6 months now. We suffer together. I don't feel great to have my I129F approved in 17 days. Honestly, I don't. There are cases like yours and jonbless that make me angry. I get really pissed too.

I know you are not mad at me. The way you said it though, seemed you were trying to get to me. I am sorry I misunderstood what you said.

We all here sleep alone, wake up alone, eat dinner alone, do everything alone, only waiting for the day to see our loved ones again and be together with them forever. I am also going through that.

Honestly, I should feel great but I don't.

You and your husband should really complain to the council at your interview. I know I will. It's not fair for some to be approved in 15 days and others to not have any touches for 11 months.

We brazilians are used to corruption, shitty things and stuff. It's all the brazilian way of life. I am not proud of that. But I wasn't expecting that out of USA.

I am not mad at you though.

Renata"
