First in First out?

Was this an expedite?

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Was this an expedite?

First of all congrats! Second of all, I wondering the same thing if this was some sort of a special case. This is amazing how fast you received your approval - it defies all logic and understanding based on what I have been reading on the guides.

My petitions have been sitting at VSC since December and not a single touch till this day. It aggrevates me to read about these kind of anomalies but at the same time I guess it just shows that the process could be just random and any one of us could be next, given you didn't have a special case.

Lets hope VSC picks up the pace for all those that are frustrated and waiting very patiently for VSC to start doing some actual work.

Just remember...

"Applications are processed in the order they are received by application type."

Sort of makes you wonder...

Congratulations on your approval! Definately not your fault at all and you hit the immigration lottery. USCIS on the other hand should have to explain these inconsistencies...this went on back when we were approved also by the way.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

No, this was no expedite! I did nothing, nor has my husband or the attorney. Just regular procedure! I130, got NOA1, sent I129F along with the NOA1 of the I130! That was it!

Nothing extra, nothing nothing nothing! NADA!

California SC is faster than VSC, but I never thought this fast! And I swear, no expedite, nothing special!

I was talking to the husband last night and we even did airline reservations for october this year! He'd come for my birthday! We never thought this could happen so fast!

I feel very sorry for everybody else who's on the line, but again, this is not my fault! I have no idea how this happened.

I agree with you....

Oh, and you call all see my timeline and I have even started a April 2008 California K3 thread where I talked about all my timeline... I asked a lot of questions.... I did nothing special! Some of you even answered my questions on that thread!

I'm not mad at anyone, I'm mad at USCIS for messing up our lives.

And with or without backlog, a K3 petition does not go through USCIS in 17 days. It never did. This was a mistake, someone ###### up.

Or maybe someone decided to work.... Nobody knows how things work at CSC. Don't say it's a mistake, you can't know that.

Or maybe we just got lucky.

actually, yes, it is a mistake

if it was not a mistake, everyone else would be approved too

uscis average for K3 is 6 months

somebody must have put your petition on the top of a pile instead of putting it at the bottom
