Are you suggesting that the bags are permanently deployed? That wasn't what I got from the article. I am not quite sure how such a device would work, but I am sure the idea is not to have them permanently fixed but to be deployed when a cyclist crashes with a car.

I was being facetious. The idea of a safety car with child/cyclist friendly padding. No sharp edges - that kind of thing ;)

I think the entire world should be made of tempur pedic material

Fantastic! The Tempur pedic car!

We should also do away with elavators in sky scrapers. When you want to get down - take the stairs, or out of the window onto huge foam crash pads.

I guess that would mean that everyone would go about in Teletubby suits. For insurance reasons.

Hard to ride a bike in an outfit like that. I guess they'd have to do away with the conventional push-bike.

Because a dead bicyclist is good.

Oi! Don't make me drive to hell and kick your brown ####### all over the Trash State!

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

OMG so funny...... I can just see all the cars in boston driving arround with their airbags deployed..... here if the parking space is too small for your car, you just bump the car in front and the car behind until its big enough for your car to get in.... people on bykes are the least of the worries here....
