I just went to a Kodak shop to get my passport photo. I told the person that i wanted US size passport photo 2 x 2inch. He said he knew what was needed. He took my photo and gave me 2 copy's. I had a look at them and I'm wondering if he's done it right. Yes the photo is 2 x 2 inch but the bottom of my chin to the bottom of the photo is less than 1/4 inch and top of my head to the top of the photo is 1/2 inch. Does anyone if this will be ok or will it get refused?

Thanks

Highly doubtful, but if you want you can always take it back and ask them to retake it due to the importance of the photo.

I'm debating whether i should Dave. 8 GBP or $16 i thought was a bit steep in price to.

Yeah I had to pay I think $17. If you have the receipt they will retake them for free.

I would mainly do it just so I don't have any worries at all.

Hiya,

If you're worried I'd say you can probably go back by if you have the free time/can be bothered and "talk" to a manage or whatnot and get it redone for free. That is, if you're amazingly good at kicking up a fuss like my mommy is. She's such a competent adult :)

Iain and I both had our passports done in one of those passport photo booths you have in the UK. We were at the post office where they had them here...Ours weren't exact either and I was a little worried, the background was grey instead of white, but the Center didn't say a thing about it so I don't think they're incredibly strict.

I think the price for that was 4 pounds for 4 copies of the photo, and the booth also takes the shot 3 times and you get to pick the best one. not a bad deal at all really.

So you can look for that if you want to. You'll need more pictures anyway if you get through fast enough, btw: You have to send 2 to USC, and then you need one (or two) for the interview, and one (or two) for your medical. Can't remember which was which but I was reading on all of that and turns out you need 3 more in total after those first 2 you send off to USC, so...yeh whatever :P

Passport photos are rarely not accepted; I had my fiancee's done in Colombia and they were 2.25" by 2.25" and I didn't even notice it till I read about others wondering about these dimensions (about 6 months later) - All passport pictures here (including my US passport renewal pictures) - we just went to Walgreens and get them for ten bucks. I have never measured them to see what the exact dimensions are or are supposed to be but they have never been rejected for my wife's AOS, Removal of conditions or my US passport renewal. Don't worry about it, they are always accepted. Good Luck

AAA basic members are only $5 and plus members get them for no charge ;)

I wish I'd gone to your local AAA office! :) I had mine done at my local AAA office and was very happy with the results. I believe the cost was $8.95 plus tax......I just remember the total was around $10, and I thought that was reasonable. At the time, I just had basic membership.

They were free of charge for me when I had them done for my passport a few years back, also free for both my kids. Then I just went again last week before filing and they were free again! Bonus! ;) I have platinum membership.

Well the specs do say that if you normally wear them that they should be worn and give tips to avoid the glare but again, I don't 'think' they are that picky considering what some others have sent in and passed with.

If you're having them taken again I would wear them!

good luck!
