Cover letter for ds 230

I do not think it is required. I am not including a coverletter with my ds-230 package. Make sure you DO include the barcode letter on top of all forms and documents however. If I am right, I believe the coverletter is just a word document that is generated by the petitioner or beneficiary themself to outline what is included in the package. I do not believe it is a requirement as I did not see it on any list from the NVC with their instructions.

Yup, it's just a letter listing out the contents of your DS230 package and is not a document required by NVC. However, I found it useful as it also acted as a checklist for me and at the end of my letter I stated the number of pages sent.
