Do the barcodes on these forms that are generated work?

I can't get the DS-230 coversheet to open

Yeah, I used those self generated forms, and they were accepted by NVC.

Here is a link to Jame's NVC Shortcuts. If some of the downloads have problem, then just change forums to forums2 in the URL.

Anyway, here is the link to MS doc of DS 230 barcoded conversheet.

Good Luck,

YamSam

Ummmmmmm YamSam.....Jame's Shortcuts are now available in this thread :) so it was more accessible. Also the links in his original post in the old forum that you linked to, no longer work. I redid all the links to the various forms etc when I copied it all across.

I can't get the DS-230 coversheet to open

I just checked and could open it. It will ask you to save or open. If you click on open, you can have a look at it........or save it to your computer and open it from there. Its a pdf file.

I cannot get the DS-230 coversheet, when i click it [Download the MS Word copy of the DS-230 Part I coversheet (available by clickingHERE). ], it comes the DS-230 itself.

Somebody said it is my version problem,I changed to forums2 -the old version,I cannot log in the old visajourney version.

Package Scans for shortcutters

(ressurrected from the archive)

The following scans will help you understand exactly what documentation arrives with the Self-generatable material.

They should remove any doubt as to what other guidance notes are provided in the NVC generated packages.

DS-3032 & AOS Bill package scan (as received by Petitioner)

DS-3032 package scan (as received by Alien)

(This was previously provided by Emmy)

I-864 Package scan

(I-864 forms not scanned. The real package includes I-864, I-864A & I-864P. Double sided, same as latest downloadable versions)

(Cover sheet not scanned. Its exactly the same is the self generated version.)

DS-230 Package scan (This is a UK example)

(Cover sheet not scanned. Its exactly the same is the self generated version.)

I-864 Checklist package example reproduction

(This was previously provided by Abygail)

This one is not a scan, but a reproduced RFE/Checklist package based on a real RFE/Checklist package. You can use the barcode sheet to send back a self-generated response for missing evidence. Remember to generate your own barcode using James's instructions (above) for creating cover sheets. Then, adapt the cover sheet accordingly to match your details.

As the IV bill is the only package that cannot be self-generated entirely (because of the mysterious 9-digits), The scan of this package has not been provided here.

hi a.w.,

congratulations for your visa! my fiance and i are still plugging away here. we got approved and are now waiting for nvc to get our stuff from uscis, ca svc ctr. lissa is a filipina and so we are gonna have to go through the notorious manila embassy for her visa. given their reputation for taking a long time to get things done, i am very interested in the shortcuts you guys have here. i of course have a question: can i have lissa appoint me as her agent to speed things up (having nvc send me stuff here in california instead of mailing things back and forth between new hampshire and mindanao)? thanks for all your great information, you have helped keep a lot of people from being driven mad by all this bureaucratic rig-a-ma-role! :)

peace

paul

Hi Paul

Thank you :) Only I haven't got my visa yet, only the completion at NVC. Hopefully now my case is making its way to the embassy here in Australia.

I noticed that you are doing K-1. The shortcuts and timesavers are for CR-1 as they spend quite some time at NVC and go through a lot of paperwork to and fro. The K-1 on the other hand is only at NVC a short time, to allocate a case number and then off to embassy. There is no step in the K-1 process for you to be made an agent. Wishing you all the very best on your journey. Hopefully things speed up some at Manila.

Hello,

I can use the links in posting #22. Is there a problem? Any other idea how to open the files?

Thank you,

Michigan2004

The links are to the archived old site, so when you click on them it will bring up a page showing the package scan attachment where you will see 'Click Here to Download' at the bottom. The first one you open will ask you to put in your id and password again. Not sure why this happens but it does. If you weren't a member with the old site, Im not sure whether it will recognise your id or not. Give it a try and if not let me know and we will see if admin can perhaps put the scanned packages direct onto this site for easier access.

I was afraid of that. I just sent admin an email with the attachments and asked for them to be placed here in this site. Hopefully it will be sorted out shortly. Will keep you posted.
