Romney remarks:

"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win," he said.

"And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror."

It's official...

Romney suspends presidential campaign

By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer 7 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Mitt Romney suspended his faltering presidential campaign on Thursday, effectively sealing the Republican presidential nomination for John McCain. "I must now stand aside, for our party and our country," Romney told conservatives.

Yup. An early glimpse into GOP talking points for November. Hillary is telegraphing surrender.

Sad. I voted for Romney but it was the most practical thing to do. But I will never vote for Mccain.Ill probably just stay at home come November.

I think this is the most bizarre thing... staying home because your favorite candidate doesn't get the nod... Is every election going to have the two most ideal or two best or even the two most favorite candidates? No. So b#tch all about Shrillary and Obama now, because after November, if McCain doesn't win, you kind of give up that right to b#tch, since you will have done nothing to prevent them from getting there in the first place.
