Hi all,

Just another quick question for those who applied for the Australian Police Clearance as a foreigner. I understand there are two types:

1. Name Check Application (AUD36) or

2. Finger Print Application (AUD103)

Which one should I go for?

Please advice. :help:

Cheers!

I had this same dilemma when I got my Police Clearance from Australia...I am a Canadian, but I lived in Australia for a year. I could never find a 100% definitive answer on this - so I decided to be on the safe side and get the national fingerprint check. Yeah, it costs more, but better to be on the safe side. From looking at the Australia forums, it looks like the fingerprint check is what the Aussies get for themselves, so that helped seal the decision for me.

By the way, the police clearance letter took about 6 weeks to arrive.

Good luck!
