Great news.....I can relate to McCain as we are both retired US Navy.......

You were an officer in the Navy?

what's your definition of officer? commissioned or non-commissioned?

He knows what I meant. John McCain was a naval officer. While there's no shame in being an NCO, there is a difference. Jimmy Carter was a naval officer and an Annapolis graduate. I'm just curious as to what kaydee's background is. :)

the question is, do you? so far, he's not said anything to nitpick over. he didn't insinuate that both of them were commissioned officers, all he said was both are retired navy.

The big question is, are they going to get away with calling the latest installment 'Quantum of Solace' though? When I heard the title I just thought, "what?"

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Yes, but there aren't too many who can out Bond Bond, now are there? :P

True. Although things got a bit saggy in the Moore era - especially after he started cooking quiche and 2 movies in - looked old enough to be the uncle of those girls.

Well, no surprise, considering Roger Moore is actually three years older than Sean Connery, who was no spring chicken himself when Moore took the Bond mantle.

I know Number 6 is going to gag but...I liked Roger Moore as Bond. He was my favorite Bond, but maybe because he was the Bond I remember when I was a kid.

Can someone be a communist and a fascist? Because that's like a double whammy. Mussolini's fascist regime gave a lot of power to the corporations which would work against the concept of communism. Unless fascism now means anything dirty and liberal?
