My lawyer did such a horrible job. I was going thru the G325 form.. he put the wrong date of birth for my fiances parents.. they are from an area where they dont document the date of births.. but they know the month and year.. so my lawyer was supposed to put down 2/1952.. and 4/1950

but i checked and saw he put 2/2/1952

and 4/4/1950

so he just put the same date for the month as well as the date...

it was all approved and it is at the embassy now.. the DS230 was filled out.. by then they had the details and put the correct dob. 2/13/1952 and 4/15/1950

so now i am nervous again... her parents date of births are slightly off.. what do i do? is it an issue to be worriedabout.. do they double check between the DS230(submitted at the embassy) and G325 submitted to Vermont?

They will chalk it up as a typo, if they even notice.

I would just ignore the error and make sure future forms like the visa application are correct. It worked for us. The translator gave me the wrong dates to put on the forms for my wife's parents' birth.

Agreed with the others, don't worry about it because it is no big deal.

My husband's parents didn't even know the year or month they were born, so we just left that part blank. No one mentioned it.

...I wish people realized this before they threw their money away.

However, I wouldn't worry about the dates - especially because you said that in the area where they're from this is common. The Indian consulate may be aware of this. Even if they're not, the month and year (which are most important) are correct. The visa is not for them....

Good luck w/ the rest of the process.

Our lawyer did the exact same thing! I have completed all forms with the exception of those first forms and the Consulate did not say anything. I have not been through the AOS yet, but I think it will be okay. If they ask, I will explain what happened. GOOD LUCK
