Have to say, I agree...

There are plenty of real people in the obituaries every day that lived true hard working lives. I have far more sympathy for their deaths.

Yeah! Down with the celebrity robots! Long live the little people!

last time I checked celebrities were real people too... :blink:

I meant real as in not celluloid. That is why I bolded the "real". I think people get way to caught up in the death of celebrity they do not really know but feel some connection because they are a public figure that comes to their home via some media source.

Have to say, I agree...

There are plenty of real people in the obituaries every day that lived true hard working lives. I have far more sympathy for their deaths.

Why oh why did no one tell me there was a group therapy session I could attend to assist in dealing with my grief? And here I've been trying to manage it all on my own. :cry:

Gertrude didn't want us to grieve. She wanted her legacy of notebooks to be memorial enough to her life. However, I couldn't let her passing go without bringing together a group of complete strangers to take part in a very public online debate about her very private demise. It's the very least I could do, I felt.

gertie donated a kidney to my uncle's sister's roommate's best friend back in the 80s...she was also rumored to have rescued a sack of kittens from drowning in the potomac river in subzero temperatures....what a gal!
