duh "at-will employee"

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

I worked with a guy that occasionally came to work piss drunk when the assistant director was off for the day. He was a supervisor. He would cuss extremely loud and bother other people in adjacent offices. This was at a university. I hate when people act like drunks don't act as bad as other addicts. It being legal is just a matter of back and forth legislation.

The two most abused and deadly drugs in this country are alcohol and tobacco. Just look at the numbers.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell

--July 22---------Sent I-129F packet

--July 27---------Petition received

--August 28------NOA1 issued

--August 31------Arrived in Terrace after lots of flight delays to spend Lindsay's birthday with her

--October 10-----Completed address change online

--January 25-----NOA2 received via USCIS Case Status Online

Exactly why I am not going to set my ethical compass by the standards of someone who admits to smoking as their vice of choice. Not only does smoking tobacco adversely affect the lives of those that smoke, but also of those who are in direct contact. It may not be illegal but it's definitely irresponsible. As for alcohol, there are many people who enjoy alcohol responsibly. Regardless, I am not advocating making either illegal but would rather rely on education to ensure responsible use.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I work with a guy that lived in Cali and he explained to me what a joke the so called "medical" marijuana policy is. He had a medical marijuana card when he was living there and had absolutely no legit reason to have one. He was just getting stoned for sh*ts and grins.

The truth is that these are local ordinances and do not trump Federal laws. The cops can shut down these operations anytime they decide it is worth their while to do it.

The Feds run the only legal medical marijuana program and it has no affiliation with what is going on in Cali.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

It should be legalized and taxed-just like liquor, cigarettes, etc.

I think that would generate enough capital for a national health plan.
