We had our interview on Tuesday and at the end were told we were going to be recommended for approval, and I was also told my security checks have all been cleared. If this is the case, is there anything else that could cause a significant delay in getting the GC? I am not being overly anxious ( I know its only been two days) but I have been looking at some timelines of other people who were interviewed in Baltimore and for some odd reason many of them have waited months after the interview (even with namecheck cleared) before getting their GC. Any ideas why? Also, at what point should I get paranoid if I dont get the GC int he next little while and start bugging our congress rep or senators? Thanks

You are still not out of the woods yet, many get stuck in "Name-Check" hell after interview and wait weeks, months, and even YEARS while waiting for FBI to complete name checks.

There is not much you can do to make FBI expedite their processing of the name checks, "National-Security".

If you have EAD make sure to renew-it while waiting for AOS to complete.

A few have reported that it took so long that when the green-card was eventualy issued, they did not have to file to remove conditions, the card was issued after 2nd wedding anniversary, so a 10 year un-conditional card was issued.

IF they took the EAD, then just wait a few weeks, you should get the card.

Well we were told the namecheck had cleared at that point. She was getting ready to take my I-94 for my H1B visa (which I have instead of my EAD), and then left it in when I told her I might have to travel to Canada for work. So I dont think the namecheck is an issue.

Hello,

I had my interview yesterday in Baltimore.

We were with the IO for about 15 min.

Just like you I was recommended for approval.

He said thet he will have my file review by his supervisor and if everything is fine,I will get the GC. If not they may ask for furthur info.

I ask if my name had clear the FBI. The IO said that everything look good.

I asked for a stamp in my passport because I never received my work permit and he says he could not do that.

Where am I..... I feel like I am in limbo.

My girlfriend had her interview in the same day as well and got the same result.

Can anyone let me know of other case like that?

Hi,

we had our interview in Baltimore 2 days ago and it lasted for 40 minutes. It was tough. The officer was not nice and friendly and asked a lot of questions, he even read the whole list of questions from one on the forms (about crime nd drugs and communist parties) and he did not allow me to look at my husband I should stare the officer in the eye while answering. At the end after he checked our knowledge of the street names where we and my husband's relatives live and names and dates of birth he said "Thank you, interview is over". That was it.

When I asked what next he said that he could not make a decision but he would recommend it for approval. If his supervisor does not approve the case, we might be asked to attend another interview or provide with additional info. Today  I checked the website, it was revied but no decision made. I do not know what to expect. This is all very frustrating.

Hello again,

I have just received an e-mail from USCIS that my I-130 application is approved. Has anybody got that after the interview and does it mean that my AOS is going to be approved too?

From what I have read on here, they no longer stamp your passport w/ a temporary I-551 b/c of security purposes the day of the interview.

We got the email four days later that the i-485 had been approved, i didn't set my uscis account up until that day so i never got an email for the i-130 b/c it had already been approved. my husband got his green card 11 days after the interview.

good luck!

So this is an odd question, I got an email that the card production had been ordered (YAY) but I also remember reading on here that people get 3 emails usually when the I-485 is approved, and O only received the card production one. Should I be concerned for any reason?

Once the card production is ordered, I Don't think there would be anything to worry about. We just finished our interview on Tuesday and were told that we were approved. The IO took our I-94 and EAD, but we have still not received any emails, or touches to our case. According to the site, our case is still at MSC, and hasn't been touched since Biometrics. What do you all think?

Well my 485 still read as being at MSC and didnt get touched until 2 days ago either. 2 days ago the I-130 was approved (I was never able to check it before) and today the I-485 changes to "Card production ordered". So when do I get this "welcome to America" email?
