Is it acceptable for a man to hit a woman?

 Share

Just to compare, after all, if women can hit men, why can't men hit women?

"Is it acceptable for a man to hit a woman?"

Depends.

Is it Hillary?

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

No, but every bit as important, it is JUST as unacceptable for a girl to hit a guy.

If a girl acts like a man and hits a guy, she can't complain when she gets treated like a man and hit back.

Makes perfect sense to me...why should a woman think she can get away with hitting a man, and not expect to receive back what she's dishing out?

because usually the man is stronger then the woman...

i am not saying it is ok for a woman to hit a man... I don't think anybody should hit anybody....

Physical abuse is never acceptable regardless of gender....but if a woman is abusing a man, I'm going to generalize for a second and say she does so based on the double standard and is banking on the fact that he won't retaliate....

As Lisa said, physical abuse is never acceptable. I voted in the sister-thread to this one ("Is it acceptable for a woman to hit a man?") that I thought it was wrong for a woman to hit a man, so I'd be an extreme hypocrite if I said it'd be okay for a man to hit a woman.

I do think that, as terrible as physical abuse is, psychological abuse is far worse. I realize this wasn't the intention of the thread, but physical trauma (usually) heals over time by itself; psychological wounds could take years or never fully recover at all.
