Jamaica -- Phone problems?

I was in the same boat last month $1.50 a minute just can't do it! We are using calling cards now and just waiting to see what C&W comes up with! I hope it gets better for you!

Oh, guys.....if you really think you must use your cell or home phone and don't want to use calling cards, please check out International LD phone plans. There are many out there. We have used 3Utelecom.....17 cents a minute, rounded to the second (not full minutes), no connection fee, no monthly fees, and when you sign up, they put it on your home and any associated cells. We've had it 3, almost 4 years now, and it's the best thing I found for us. There are many more out there.

I remember those bills....big, bigger, and biiiiiggggeeeerrrr.....So glad they are dwindled down to next to nothing now!

Not yet, and I just looked at my personal cell bill and it was over $300!!! Thats a bill including Dec, but still. Apparently with all that 30 hour talk time from my husbands phone I didn't realize that i was talking more in peak hours and went over my minutes!!! So there was one call from him that cost me $26 dollars alone. Didn't figure it out til my cell was shut off, lol! So now I have no cell phone, nor does hubby have any minutes to call me

So I am just exercising patience til I can pay my bill off in a week and hubby can get more minutes next month. Augh!! this sucks!

Yeah mi chalked it up and put some money on the cell bill to get it back on. I just couldnt take it. Evan was buying those little calling cards that gave him about 6 mins with me, bless his soul, so said if he could do that, i could pay my bill. next month he gets the CW deal again.

Hey all- I just talked to McKoy and he said digicel has been running TV ads that they are coming out with a 1000 minute plan (the C&W plan was 990 minutes) for $1200 a month. So no matter what C&W does next month, we at least know we have an option with digicel!

McKoy and I have talked about buying a new chip so that we can use 2 cards per a month- because 32 hours is more what we are used to talking! If it works, we will save SOOO much money! Just though I'd pass these two thoughts on to everyone!

My SO actually signed up for it today. Its $999 for unlimited calling each month but you have to sign up for the service by Friday at midnight
