What are your plans for New Years?

I've only been at home on a New Year's Eve once or twice that I can remember, I always like to be out somewhere like a friend's house or a function. No getting drunk though and I don't go around people who get drunk. Luckily my friends don't drink either anyway.

This year though, I think we are staying home. We were invited somewhere but it's a 30 minute drive, and with being so far along in my pregnancy it doesn't sound appealing to have to drive home from there after midnight, and I am feeling extra cautious because of idiotic drunk drivers. If we go anywhere it'll be close to home maybe for dinner, then come back home and watch a movie or something. Any other year I'd be mad to just sit home and not go out, but this year I don't care because I get so tired.

Marilyn that pizza sounds really yummy. I love bbq chicken pizza so I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy bbq turkey pizza too. I noticed this morning that my grandfather took the rest of my christmas turkey and turned it into a pulled turkey sandwich with bbq sauce at 8am lol

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

That sounds really good Marilyn!

I'm thinking lasagna with a panzanella salad for new year's dinner. That's pretty easy to make for 15 people.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

the BBQ chicken pizza is a family favourite

usually I will marinate the uncooked chicken in the BBQ sauce overnight..... maybe I will let the turkey sit in the BBQ sauce for a few hours....

mmmm, I am getting hungry for the pizza now...

I will be working both New Years Day and Eve. It's hard to turn down 2 days of triple time!!

I really wouldn't mind working on New Year's Eve since the festivities begin at night, but New Year's day is for recovering and breakfast burritos.

New Year is for amateur drinkers. I don't need a holiday as an excuse to drink. I have to deal with the US gov't, and that's good enough reason for me.

Pound some beer and burn some beef on the grill for me

OT warning:

Marlyn, is there a secret to pizza dough? When I make it, it's ok, but it doesn't ever quite taste 'right'. My husband loves home made pizza because of the wonderful toppings but he sometimes makes faces at the crust :P Any dough advice would be appreciated.
