Quick question about EAD Approval

I got the card production email a week or so ago, and today got this:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

I thought the production of the card would mean it was approved? I'm sure this is a dumb question and I apologize in advance!

03-04 Met online

09-05 Finally meet in person

07-06-2007 MARRIED

10-19-2007 Package sent to Chicago

10-22-2007 Package arrived at Chicago lockbox

10-26-2007 NOA notice date

10-29-2007 NOA in my hot little hands

11-19-2007 Biometrics letter arrives for 12-13

12-13-2007 EAD card production ordered TWO HOURS AFTER BIOMETRICS APPT :)

04-02-2008 FINALLY our appointment and APPROVED ON THE SPOT THANK YOU GOD/GODDESS/EVERYONE

04-11-2008 Green Card arrives PHEW

It is common for them to send out the emails in the wrong order. Our aos was like (Card production, Welcome, and then ADIT processing).

There is no logical order, different departments handle different aspects, and tend to trigger the different emails when they get their orders, so the printing department may send out email before adjudicator triggers the "Approval notice"

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

If it says "Approval Notice Sent", it means your EAD card was already sent, so it will arrive on your mail soon. Congrats

I think you got the same person who approved mine :). Biometrics done Dec 13 and 2 hours later got an email card production ordered and today got an email saying approved and in mail.

EAD approved mailed : 2007-12-21

Your signature actually gives me hope that the production ordering is not a manual process and that my EAD will arrive soon. According to the local office my EAD was approved even before the biometrics appointment.
