Your message: The Department of Homeland Security the parent agency of the UCIS has dropped the ball. IMBRA was passed in Dec 05 that put requirements on US citizens wanting to marry non-US citizens. The law went into effect on 6 March and thousands of petitioners have filed on an older form. The new form only became available on 18 June over 3 months after the new requirements came into effect. People like me who filed as instructed by the official websites are know waiting for a RFE that asks 3 additional questions to be mailed to them. My receipt number is WAC-06-170-50056 dated 9 May 06. I filed at the Texas Service Center and my case was transfered to the California Service Center. The California Center shows they are working on cases filed in Feb 06. Vermont Center Mar 06 and the Nebraska Center 29 May 06. Logic obviously ignored would not send cases to a service center with the biggest backlog. The national call center is no help you stay on hold forever. The UCIS site shows if you live in Oklahoma that you must send your I-129F reguest for fiancee visa to that center. This is a unecessary mess called by inept goverment officials. The questions asked on the new form are so simple and whomever failed in meeting the March 6 deadline to comply with the law needs to be removed from federal service. Please assist me and many other citizens make this goverment agency get cracking.
