Forums Moderation

The VisaJourney Forums has several levels of member based moderation as specified below:

Members, Global Mod

This category generally moderates throughout all discussion forums. They have the ability to:

-- [YES] edit others topic titles
-- [YES] open locked topics
-- [YES] close open topics
-- [YES] move topics
-- [YES] split / merge topics
-- [YES] mass move topics
-- [YES] set topics as visible and invisible
-- [YES] set posts as visible and invisible
-- [YES] suspend or ban members for severe violations of the terms of service

Members, Deputy Mod

This category generally moderates in SPECIFIC areas of the discussion forums. Unlike Global Mods they can not suspend of ban members for Terms of Service Violations. They can however address many of the common daily moderation duties that require action. They have the ability to:

-- [YES] split / merge topics
-- [YES] mass move topics
-- [YES] set topics as visible and invisible
-- [YES] set posts as visible and invisible

Members, Organizer

This category is designed to give a group of trusted members the ability to help organize the discussion forums by allowing the ability to move topics. The "movers" Guide on when to move topics can be viewed here (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=322).
