Hi everyone, I hope I can get a reply from someone here because my call is not going through nvc. So my husband had his interview yesterday and they want me to send my IRS tax returns (the petitioner which is me) for the recent year and a letter why I didn't pay my taxes. I clearly stated in the application that I'm a student and I don't work. That's the reason why I have an affidavit of support. Why would they say that when they know I'm not working? I'm trying to call them but I can't get a hold of them. Did anyone have any similar issue?

tomorrow is my husband's interview and im freaking out !!! im flying tonight on the redeye so i can accompany him. Any last minute tips/ advice would be greatly appreciated !! please and thank you in advance !!

Stay calm. Sounds easy but when you're there at the embassy for the most important decision of your life it's easy to feel overwhelmed. I saw people dropping papers, missing their numbers, shaking with nerves there. So try and stay calm and focused.

The most recent tax transcript is the year when you worked. If you havent work then just send them the letter stating the reason why you didn't work. If you haven't work then you must have the joint sponsor, and send his w2s and irs tax transcript. I dint work in 2013 and i wrote a letter why i didn't file the tax for that year.

Thank you :) yeah I have a joint sponser and I've never had a job so I just write a letter stating that.

Hi JFH did you get your passport today? Did you get any packet with it or just a passport?

Yes! I have the passport and the big sealed package. It's huge! Very heavy. They have taped and stapled the edges but it has still got a small tear in one corner.

I did notice I have a 221g annotation on my visa for my vaccines.

I have a concern that just occurred to me after reading the above comment. I didn't have my vaccination records during the medical, so they gave me an MMR and influenza vaccine. However, I have read that hepatitis, polio and a few other are required. can anyone who has gone through their medical without vaccination records offer advice?

We haven't done the medical yet, but I do know that some of the vaccinations are age-based. Hepatitis B in particular was one my husband skipped because he's older than 18. It might be that the vaccinations you're missing aren't actually required for your age group.

Yes, Hepatitis and rotavirus and some others are only for certain age groups.

I didn't have varicella vaccination (no one from the UK does as the UK does not hold supplies of this vaccine, even for private doctors) and I didn't have pertussis but my visa has been marked with the annotation that it was not medically appropriate for me to have pertussis. I don't know why - I have epilepsy if that has anything to do with it?
