I do not have hep c but i am curious , i might be going to the dentist and i'm really worried about getting hep c as it might be transmitted through the dentist if they do not clean the equipment properly

, i've seen a medical examination paper and it does not state that the person has taken hep c vaccination , just hep A and B is it different for each person?

There's no vaccine for hep C.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

If the only reason you are worried about Hepatitis C is your fear that you might get it from your visit to the dentist's office, I really think you are fretting over nothing.

If you are concerned about a doctor using dirty/old needles on you, you can request that he open a new needle in front of you. I did that when I went to the hospital in Peru; made people grumpy, but I wasn't taking any chances. If you cannot trust your dentist to properly sterilize his instruments, I would just wait to see a dentist until you go to the US. Cleanliness of medical equipment is basically not a concern in the US.

#### i forgot, anyways does it cause rejection at the interview or nah?

As far as I remember, they do not test for hep C.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Hmm you're right , waiting until i go to the us might be a good option but that's a 1.5/2 year wait i don't know if i can keep going with this

, with that said i'm living in egypt and as you might know egypt has the highest rate of hepatitis C so it is surely concerning to go to a dentist over here,

i don't know really i might just wait it out it's not that bad tbh

They don't test for C , but even HIV is no longer an exclusion factor. They are only worried about easily transmitted things such as TB not really the blood borne ones.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Ok - I thought you were further along with the process. As others have said, Hepatitis C is not a problem for the visa however I'd be more concerned about contracting it regardless of the visa. Is there a reputable dental clinic (for example, a place where expats might go)? I imagine there must be a couple places with very good standards - if this is at all affordable for you, I'd try to make an appointment there.

Hmm i don't know , i'm still new to the country (i was born and raised in saudi arabia ) there is one dentist that was clean enough so i think this might be my solution , usually public hospitals are the worst places for dental care anyways, i'm just being paranoid

my other question would be Does any form of hepatitis cause rejection at the embassy? because if they don't test for HEP C it wouldn't really matter but they do test for hep A , Hepatitis overall is a problem on its own but if i do get infected with hepatitis , my other concern would be immigration ? it'd be horrible if i just get infected with hepatitis and then find out i can't even go to the us with the rest of my family
