Hi VJers!

How do you people print out skype facebook etc for evidence? Well for me i discovered the "Snipping Tool" on the computer! It takes screenshots of the whole screen or sections as one desires.. I can print a section or the whole page! Just sharing this info in case there is another one like me who knew nothing..

**Snipping Tool: Click on the left side corner start tool.."search programs and files"

I hope this helps a brother/sister!

i remember checking the printer output settings also, i found one that can print '4 pages per side' and duplexed, all together. saved a lot of paper.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

just share another way of printing using 'chrome browser' just highlights the message you want to print then right click and select print option, then go go print, if you want to save for later printing just change the destination to save as PDF and save it. :)

I copied the Skype call history, then pasted it onto a Word document. It had the dates and times. However, I saw that our calls from my phone were not on there, so I manually added them with (mobile) on the side. I included a screen print on the front cover and printed it on nice paper at Office Max double sided.

I really like Kolewe's link! All I could do for our Facebook comments was to print off the quantity of messages from three different time periods when it was loading, and then provided some (25) screen prints of some of our lovey-dovie messages.

Thank you guys, for this thread!

I am really trying to print fb.. i want you to guide me through it,,

When I log in, and I try to chat with my guy, a pop up box come up at the bottom so I can keep fooling with Facebook as I chat. That's not the box you want. Instead, you go to the top, click on the message bubble icon where all your messages will come in a drop down menu. At the bottom of this menu, you will see a link that says, "Show All Messages". Click that and your messages will be the main screen. Click on your love's messages, and the latest messages between you two should be in the center of the page. This is the part you will want to screen print, but you aren't done yet.

To get the message quantity, scoll up. Facebook should let you do so to a certain point. I will stop and ask you if you want to load more. This is the page you want - don't do anything yet. You may already know how to screen print, but you press "Crtl" and "PrtScn" buttons on your keyboard at the same time. The Crtl (control) button is on the bottom left and the PrtScn (screen print) is on the top right before the 10 key number pad. Laptops may have smaller keyboards, but they should still be on the same locations.

So, now your computer has copied the screen, you can paste it to a Word document and you are good! I printed one side with the unmodified screen print, then another side with a cropped screen print. This way the ads and margins were removed and I could make the chat part and number count more obvious. I didn't want to get a CO that couldn't see so well! I wanted to make it as easy as possible for the CO!

You can repeat the same steps a few times to get a few different dates for the CO to have a timeline comparison. For example, when I sent in our petition, I had one as of March, then I did two in May. They can see the dates on the screen prints and can see how our messages grew from one date to another. Getting the older quantity counts is harder. Sometimes the "Load Older Messages" link disappears and the messages automatically loads. So if you are going for older messages, be quick with the keyboard! Also, when you are doing the screen prints, your messages will come up. So read what the CO will be reading. You want to make sure it's not too personal and intimate! If it is, you need to try again for another one. I don't think you should black anything out when submitting to the CO - raises too much suspicion.

Also, as I went back further, Facebook was going much, much slower. I wanted to go back as far as December or November, but I spent six hours going back to March! That was only 3 months back!!!! However, this is just one piece of evidence, so if you only get one or two screen shots, I think that should be sufficient.
