Try to provide all documents to NVC at one time. They will use the last scan date to determine when they should review the package.

Some of the documents I provided to NVC:

1. Attestation of Birth from the National Commission Office and the Statutory Declaration of Age from the Higher Court Judicial Division (this was provided instead of the birth certificate normally seen in the US.

2. Medical, dental, and Vision Insurance for Nigerian spouse (obtained in 2014 during open enrollment, no SSN needed as of yet, marriage certificate required)

3. Screenshots of email communications from from the first time we started communicating (NVC never knew the details of our conversation)

4. Photos with spouse, family and friends.

5. Tax transcripts and pay stubs from Employment.

6. Passport photos were never the exact required size but close.

**Renew the passport if the Nigerian passport has less than 6 months before expiring. Take the old and new passport to the medical exam and visa interview.**

**Estimated cost of the medical exam paid $300 USD or 65, 000 Naira**

**Lagos Airport asked for me the signed Yellow Fever card.**

Visa Journey helped me find an error on the AOS in February 2015. In March 2015 I was also able to help my spouse get the correct birth records required by NVC by reading the Nigerian thread on Visa Journey.

April 2, 2015- Case is in Supervisor Review because the DS260 form was sent electronically January 6, 2015 but hasn't been reviewed as of yet.

April 17, 2015- I finally have the 3rd N/A next to the Affidavit of Support fee. I spoke to a supervisor yesterday (Thursday). She told me she would have the case reviewed by the end of the week. It looks like she kept her word. I will call again tonight to confirm case complete :)

Thank you. Surprisingly the Consulate didn't ask for any other documents. NVC notified me the case was complete. Shortly after that an email was received from NVC the income requirements were not met and that we should get joint sponsor or complete another Affidavit of Support. Completed a new affidavit and brought it to the interview along with an updated paystub to support the income. The Consulate approved our case without looking at the updated information. I wonder of they verified the updated income on their own.

Wow. You have done excellent. It has been a while since I submitted my documents to USCIS so my memory kst not as clear on that portion as it is for NVC. I can't think of anything else that should be submitted. If anyone else reading this has suggestions please chime in. Some of the documents you are sending to USCIS will need to be submitted to the National Visa Center after you petition is approved.

I also sent an email once a month to Nvcinquiry@state.gov to check status. I included my case number as well as the beneficiary and petitioners name date of birth in the email. Sometimes it was 30+ days before I received an email response from NVC.
