it doesn't hurt if you want to go to the interview. It's always a good support for the other person. I went and I really enjoyed it and it opened my eyes up to how our embassy works. But, it's not necessary.

You will be allowed to enter the USEM with your US passport to accompany your fiancé. Will it help? Possibly.

Many fiance(e)s do the interview alone and some petitioners choose to go to the interview.

I went with my fiancée. When it was our turn to go to one the interview window, the CO said that I "must be the petitioner" and we laughingly said yes. Then she said I could take a seat and wait for fiancée to finish. So fiancee did the interview on her own while I watched from the seat.

All in all, it was a fantastic experience. It's your choice to go or not.

thank you for the reply.. i was thinkig that prolly if i accompany him they won't doubt if our relationship is real or not...

we've been together since 2008 when i went back to phil to finish my nursing.. then i went back nov 2009 here in US for good... but because i stuggle with money 2010-2012, i wasnt able to visit him.. its only june 2013 when i was able to see him again. buy communication is non stop... do u think they will doubt our relationship because in th span of 5.5 yrs i only visited him once?

there are two things that you need to use to show that you have a relationship first thing is that you have pictures of the two of you together, and the other is that you've been together in the past two years. since you visited last June 2013 and plus two years is now June 2015 if your interview is before June 2015 then you're going to be okay if it's after June 2015 I advise you that you would go to the interview.

Really no reason for the US petitioner to go.

I went because it was a good excuse to go to Philppines. I was allowed to attend the interview which by the way is basically done in the open and not in a private room.

I watched and spied on about 15 other inteviews that day, anywhere from Family Visas to Spousal to Fiance, It was interesting, and most lasted a few minutes.

I saw many people get 221 due to not having stuff like updated 1040's, and this was mostly family visas.....

Yup, if money's tight no real problem as long as your send over what's needed.

Same here, you can't help but listen to things considering it's all out in the open like in a bank or the DMV.

Most people getting 221g's the day of our interview were due to not having the right name on the NBI, or not having a W-2 for 2014.

have faith in your relationship. show the embassy solid proof of your relationship and as long as you have a good income yourself, everything will be alright. be very prepared and make sure you have all the requirements.

Good luck.

Attending the interview can't hurt the process. I attended my fiancee's interview and it was a great experience. The first set of questions will be asked by a local "screener". They are ensuring all the required forms and paperwork are in order and I suspect they may add some notes if they feel that certain areas need to be asked about by the CO. I was not asked any specific questions nor did I say much of anything at this step.

The CO interview went great. My fiancee was asked one question and the CO and I talked about a few things. My fiancee jokes that it was my interview and not hers!

If you can find a way to attend, I say do it.
