I noticed on the ceac website that my case is in transit. :) but I have a question: Is there a way to track the dhl package? Wiki explains about dhl tracking, but it seems outdated.

Go to the first post explains how to track. Really tracking DHL doesn't tell you much since the package you are tracking to your embassy may not be yours or not. Just wait for your status to change to Ready then you will know its there. O

Are you Mumbai or New Delhi?

Here's the search I have found with EXP 03 MAR 2015A

My embassy is in New Delhi. I figured out and got it, thank you but what you gave me is not right because I know the package left yesterday as it appeared "In-Transit" and AOS status on ceac changed belongs to PAID yesterday. I think it belongs to someone I know. but thank you.

This probably is your bundle along with many others. There's never just one. It goes like this. You leave NVC its not registered yet with DHL for at least 2 days. If you call NVC and ask when did my package leave I bet it was Monday.

If you look at the date it was scanned into DHL it was Wednesday. More than likely this is it. But like I said it really makes no difference if this is it or not the most important words you want is

READY on the website that's all that matters and the Status updated. That's when you know your case file has arrived. Tracking the Packages is more a fun thing nothing concrete since we have no way of knowing if its really ours.

I always tell of mine how I know for sure it was mine because mine was 20 lbs and 20 lbs went out that day I checked to Lagos and I knew it was mine for sure. Followed it all the way to Ben Obi signing for it 3 days later.

I see. ok thank you. Yeah.. I know it is fun to track, but I agree that we have no way of knowing if it is really ours. I wish they should upgrade the website or policy for customers so they have smooth life (receiving emails to track the package, communication chat online, submit documents online into database on their system, FAQs, etc). Anyways, thank you very much. You are doing a marvelous job!! :) I will keep checking the status to "READY". :)

I don't think they expect us to know as much as we know. Thank God for VJ. I remember in 2012 through 2013 calling NVC they would be like "How do you know to ask that or know that?" it was like I was telling them their job. But I learned alot and got nice folk at NVC Supervisor Gus told me alot I learned from him how to get Case Complete without having to send in anything because we were having issues with getting documents.

Hi everyone,

We recently received a CC from NVC, and are waiting for the interview to be scheduled. I am guessing it will be in April. We're so excited and have started to prepare for it. My hsuband is the one that is immigrating. He was a bit overwhelmed with the questions. We looked at some sample ones from a link on visajourney, but they seem more pertinent for people who are engaged or recently married. My husband and I have been married for almost 10 years, and have known each other for about 15, have two children together and all the kind of stuff from a decade and a half, so would they really ask questions like "where did you meet?" "what's your spouse's email address? Or have you met your spouse's relatives?" "what's his/her phone number? " . . . friends' phone numbers" . . . I think it would be a bit strange, and frankly my husband barely remembers his own number so I know he doesn't remember mine since he just pushes a speed dial button on his cell. :hehe: Has anyone else been in a similar situation where they were together for so long and had the interview. :help:What type of questions did they ask? Sorry for seeming so panicky, I just want this to go smoothly for him. -_- Thanks in advance for any advice. :goofy:

So happy to have you here. Welcome to the group. :goofy:

Well don't know if you made it for the April Interview selections. You may have to wait for May. They started April this week. But I have noticed CC for this week no interviews for any embassies. Keep your eyes on your inbox for that P4 letter.

Thank you. I already figured it would be a month to get the date and then another for the actual interview. I will be checking my email atleast 3 times aday lol

Hello guys

First am happy I finally got here too. I received my cc on feb 19th and last week I received my interview letter for April 7th, Ghana consulate. I have a question for my interview I don't know if anyone can help me here but all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. First of all my hubby is the one migrating.

So here it goes..

At the time I was filling out the I-864 for my hubby I was working a private duty job as a caregiver. I was been paid weekly with no taxes deducted but given a paper stating how many hours I worked the week and my weekly pay. I started this job march ending and took a break from it June, July to visit my husband in Ghana. I came back to the states in August to continue this same job and by the first week of September the patient I was taking care of died.

Anyway so all in all I worked about $10,000. I therefore used my income as financial support for my hubby on the I-864 and to back it up I added the pay stub like stuff I was receiving from this family and since after calculating my yearly pay based on what am being paid weekly, I qualified to sponsor my husband. I then added the pay stub like stuff to the 864 (about 12 weeks work) and to my surprise nvc accepted it. I also added my previous tax returns, 2 years which I had no problem proving anything because I had taxes taken out and could prove.. I also qualified all the previous years to sponsor my husband by the way. Anyway so back to my question, about the first week of September this patient passes away and I decide to go stay with my hubby in Ghana till this long process is done. Now obviously I didn't make as much as I thought I would have as I stated on the 864 but thank God my brother has decided to sponsor us and he meets all the requirements so I will be taking a filled out 864 from him with me to the interview as our sponsor now since I lost my job. Is that possible? Also will I also be asked for a tax return for 2014? If so how do I go about it? I know am certainly going to owe the it's since my job was under the table but I am ready to pay and accept. I have been a worker all my life couldn't get a job and this was the only way I could work to support me Nd my hubby and I took that job. I am in no way and will not hide that to avoid paying taxes.

Please anyone advice me on how I should go about this if I am going to be asked for a tax return, and which form do I file supposing I am filing a tax return. Also I am left to this minute because I couldn't get my pin from the IRS and they wouldn't give it to me over the phone. Anyway that was just by the way. Help me please anyone.

Sorry ifor the long question

Congratulations. Welcome to the group. I have added you to the spreadsheet.

Yes you have to file you taxes your 2014 taxes regardless that you have a joint sponsor.

For your joint sponsor he also has to have:

  1. His 2014, 2013, 2012 filed
  2. letter of employment
  3. most current pay stub
  4. I-864
  5. Proof of citizenship or LPR or naturalization.

All originals at the interview.
