CEAC STATUS: Ready...What does it mean?

I had my interview on March 26,2013 and was given 221g...Submitted the required documents after a week.

When I checked my case status today... it's not under Administrative Processing anymore.What does the word READY mean? should I expect our visa to arrive? :unsure: :unsure: :unsure: Thanks

2013-04-05 USEM received the documents submmited

2013-04-16 CEAC STATUS: ISSUED (VISA APPROVED)
2013-04-18 Got the tracking number from 2GO courier -- visa has been forwarded & ready for delivery

2013-05-02 Attended CFO seminar in Manila

State Dept. visa tracking: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx? (not updated or as accurate as the USEM website)

Here is a link for requirements for receiving your passport with the visa, there are also options for tracking the status of your visa/passport is currently. You can also change delivery options.

If your application was temporarily refused under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, you can now check the status of your application online.

What was the content of the update? My parents status also is READY, but the content is all about the case being ready for interview. I think yours is the same. That it is nothing to do with the visa being ready/issued/printed.

hey guys, i just wanna clarify and a lil worried... i had my interview yesterday, i went to check ceac, its says there ready, that the case is open... now after a day i checked it, it say under administrative processing, i asked the consul if im approved and he said that i am approved, what does this mean??? they didnt asked me for any additional docs or a 221g ....please help!!!

ALL applications are reviewed a second time after the interview, so they all get Additional Processing. If anything is spotted during the review they will work to get it handled at that time. Most times within a week the visa is ready and on its way to 2GO. I would relax some .... :)

I find the embassy website better when tracking the visa progress.

Thanks... I was a lil worried cuz i asked the american consul if im approved he said i am and wishing all the best...and the other applicant was told the case is under admin processing, she wasnt told if she pass or not thats why i was worrying too... And once again thanks:)

here's how our status went after the interview...Administrative Processing ==> Ready ==> Administrative Processing ==> Issued...received visa 2 business days later. Hope that helps :)
