Hi. What is a Letter of intent to return together with spouse in the USA? We have collected all the evidencesof my USC husband's proof of domicile and steps made going back to states. It says here also that If the petitioner currently is not in the USA and he us a US citizen, he should provide a letter of intent to return with you ( thats me i supposed) to the United States. Any sample form for letter of intent to return ? Pls help....thanks

Thanks a lot! We have this already and we thought this is called a cover letter? We were thinking that letter of intent is the letter why my USC husband wanna go back to the US with me or do we also have to write a letter like that?

This letter answers question 15 of the I-864 (so it's not a cover letter) but I'm not sure if it's different from the "letter of intent" you are describing. Sorry!

Actually, the letter that kristinakiko copied here, for you, is almost perfect. Tailor it to your specific case, and IMO, yer good to go.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

We did a letter for question 15 similar to that described. However we did not provide any other letter to describe why we wanted to move there and this was fine, but I was asked the question at the interview and gave a verbal answer. None of the documents were required to be notarized (by the US Embassy in London at least). Ours wasn't even signed.
