Event Description

Embassy Review : Our interview was scheduled at 8:30. We parked the car accross the street in a little lane and tipped some guys $200 JA. From the outside they organized our papers in their preferred order, told us what's not allowed in the embassy(i.e. cell phones, lighters, weapons etc) Went through security, just like it is at a airport then went inside to get a number and sit. While we got our number, they also gave us a paper to put the beneficiary's passport number for dhl's use.
After our number was called, we went up and this female organized our papers again, asked who's filing for who then sent him to go do his fingerprints while I waited. Fingerprints took around 15 minutes and the wait for the interview was about 30 minutes. We were called up and sworn in; she then asked him to write my full name, then I was told to sit down while he picks up the phone and was asked 11 questions. Nothing out of the ordinary: how, when, where did we meet; how, when do we communicate; who, when proposed and then I was called up and asked how often do I visit and where are my passport/s for proof. I showed her my 3 passports with the gazillion stamps and that's when she said "you're visa is approved"
We had a scrapbook, digicel topups, tons of ohone records BUT she didn't ask for ANY proof. I guess the questions were enough.
She then told us to go to the dhl desk and pay for delivery and that's it
Overall it was a good experience, be confident, think about the questions before you jump and answer and don't be afraid to ask for the question to be repeated.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
