Event Description

Embassy Review : Fiancé was there as soon as they opened. About 9 AM was called by Moroccan man and asked for all documents in K3 with translations as well. After about 30 minutes elapsed he was called to go pay. Thirty minutes later a Moroccan woman called him and asked for his phone number, his annulment documents. He was instructed to go sit and waited, so he waited and was the last one that remained there, it was almost 2:30 PM. After that this American CO called him and started with the process so first he was asked his name and to write fiancée’s name and given oath to swear. She went to another room came back and started questions. The following are not in order only by his account and by far they are all the questions he was asked:
• Fiancée’s name
• How did you meet
• Oh, this is your fiancée, she showed him the picture he provided
• How often we talked
• How many times she has visited Morocco ( Met him through mutual friends, this is how I met him in 2008)
• CO asked what month I traveled the first month in 2008
• Why did she go visit Morocco then (2008)
• Has she traveled before (traveled to Europe 2001)
• Is she married
• How many times
• Why she divorced 1st time (he explained in detail)
• Why she divorced 2nd time (he also explained in detail and even explained annulment)
• How many children does she have
• How old, names, what do they do, why they did not visit Morocco with her
• When did you get engaged
• Why didn’t you and fiancée get married 2nd time or 3rd time she visited you
• Where did she stay, why
• What are her hobbies
• What is her job (CO asked what H.S. was, my duties, he explained in detail)
• What does she do in her job
• Why marry an older woman
• Do you want children
• What does her family think of your relationship and family (sister, brothers)
• How many sisters, brothers, names of nieces, nephews. (he knew them all)
• When did parents and why deceased
• How father passed away as well as brother.
• What does your family think of her (fiancé family)
Now bear in mind that all questions asked were answered and he elaborated on a couple of the questions and at no point did she stop him. She looked at pictures, emails, and chat logs. CO asked for proof of engagement party pictures which were provided and she said, “very nice.” At this point CO was told him to have a seat. She went to another room and came back with that white form. She called him and simply said, I am giving you this form, and your case will be sent back to the USCIS for revision. He asked twice why but again, she said it needed to be revised. He mentioned she was nice but looked “strict faced” and fluency did not play a role in this interview which lasted 1 hour. He was given a white form stating the following: Section 221(g) which prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act or regulations based pursuant thereto. The following remarks apply to your case: We will return your application and petition to the Department of Homeland Security’s United States and Immigration Services (USCIS). Any further inquiries regarding your application and petition should be directed to their attention.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
