Event Description

Embassy Review : Had our AOS interview at 10:30. Arrived about 20 minutes early and got in 15 minutes early. The wait time was a killer, seemed like it lasted way too long, though it was probably about 10 minutes tops. Finally, some lady opened the door and called us in. Her name was Heather, I believe. She swore us in before we had a chance to sit down. We were both rather nervous, but the whole ordeal went rather well. She asked us some general questions about the submitted forms. Asked how we met each other, where both of us worked, where we went to school. Just the kind of questions a normal couple would answer without a sweat. Then proceeded to ask for some proof of our relationship. We showed her our bills, bank acct., and lots of pics. She glimpsed through most and then said that she was going to approve our petition. She was not overly friendly, but seemed at ease. Overall, our experience was very good. Good luck to all of you!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
