Comments : There is a long gap between recieving and sending Package 3 because my wife found out that there was an error in her passport. Where her father's name should be, it was her name. So she had to get a new passport since Gujarat government doesn't do corrections on the same passport, which worked out fine because she didn't have to get the Local/District PCC any more since her passport is less than 6 months old. It took very long to get a new passport because it was right in the middle of the holidays like Diwali and stuff.

POE Review: Chicago
Event Description
Entry Date : 2010-02-07
Embassy Review : POE was very easy said my wife.
She stood in new immigrants' line. When it was her turn, officer asked for the passport and the big brown envelop. Took her finger prints and told her to go to some office for more finger prints.
She went to the office and sat down for few minutes. Her file was on top of everyone for some reason so that didn't take long as well.
She was called and did more finger prints and they stamped the visa and done.
No questions asked.
Overall, it was less than 45 minutes.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
