Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 29, 2009
Embassy Review : My fiance had his interview today. it went well, CO didn't wanted any more proof of relationship, she said she has all the papers and pictures from when the application was submitted originally.
Then questions CO asked him:
what is his name?
what is my name?
How we met?
Has he traveled out of country before? (which he had)
then the following questions were related to his visit to Italy- When, Where, why, how?

He said CO kept on tying while she asked the questions. after everything was done she took his medical, affidavit of support, my tax returns, W2s, and pay subs. he took oath. but apparently there was something missing on his medical (the sealed envelope). so CO gave him a sealed envelope and told him to take it back to Chandigarh (where he had his medical done at) and give it to physician and have the missing information filled. THEN re-submitted via VFS with his passport. and if he still qualifies they will stamp his passport with visa. No second interview needed.

so it's going to take little bit longer then we thought it would. Hoping for visa in hand in couple of weeks!!!

TIP: as long as you have all the papers needed for the interview, it doesn't matter where your interview is, it will be fine

Best of Luck to everyone who is waiting out there. and I hope my review helps!!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
