Event Description
Review Date : April 7, 2009
Embassy Review : I got to the shuttle service at 6am, then I finally got to the embassy at like 7am and they took my cell phone. When I got in I was called to pay for a fee, then called to submit documents (medical and then the other documents). Then I was called for finger printing. After some time went by I was finally called by an office he was white with a short brown beard. He asked me "how are you" I said "I am good". He then asked me my wife's name and I responded. He asked me "when did we meet, how did we meet" and I responded. He then asked the dates she came here first and when we married and how many times she came here. Then he said he will call me back again. Then he called me again to the window and asked me a few more basic questions. Then he said he will call me again. He called me again eventually and he asked to see the photos. He looked at them smiling and returned them to me. He did not ask me anything about more evidence for our relationship-which shocked me. I thought he would request more documents like letters and emails, but he did not. He then handed me back the marriage papers and other things he did not need and kept my passport. I said "is my passport with me or you"? He said "you will get your passport back with your visa from American Express". Then that was pretty much the end. If you need more answers about specific questions then feel free to message me.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
