POE Review: Detroit
Event Description
Entry Date : 2009-03-03
Embassy Review : My POE was very smooth...although i am so nervous at first...when i went out from the plane...i went directly to the visitor section in the immigration...many people was already there waiting for their turn to the immigration officer...in my line im the 6th person to be called...my line happens to be the most slowest line ever can i imagine...then one officer notice it and thanks God she ask me to transfer to the us citizen section which that time was already vacant...when i reach one line somebody run into it so meaning im the 2nd on the line...i felt so uneasy already because everytime i look at the lines it seems everybody is moving and my goosshh...still interrogating the chinese couple infront of me..the officer happened to be irritated because he cannot understand what the old couple trying to explain to him...then i heard he try to ask them if they had someone who can translate..when i heard of it...i try to cath his attention because i feel so tense...guess what!!! im only the person in the line!!!and all of the officer was seems very busy...i raise my hands to offer help for the old couple..at last he wave his hands..i run into it and ask him what is the questions...he is asking what is the purpose of the trip..and where they stay here in usa...i translate in broken chinese...thanks God thats all what the officer wanted to know from them...atlast he turn on my papers...i tried to explain to him...Sir..my connecting flight would be in 25 minutes and i am so afraid i cant catch the plane...so afraid here because its my first time sir please....oh Thanks GOD he said...Dont worry i will help you because you help me but we need to validate your passport and its just 2 minutes it takes...so we went to one room and some immig.officer was interrogating again another business man...then he ask me to sitdown and ask one officer to make my passport as fast as he can because my flight would be in a few minutes from now..he came back to me and said he will ask someone to help me line up in the costume area which leads me to another check in counter for my connecting flight...Thanks God after 2 minutes he handed me my passport then i rush on my line to the custom...the woman already on my line and just in time im the next one...after declaring my baggae i run again to the xray section then i keep on running go to gate 23 for my final destination....BALTIMORE!!!!!!which my fiancee waiting for me...yehey..after one and a half hour there it goes my hubby waiting for me...IM in his hands safe and warmed....thank you vj's...

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
