Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 12, 2008
Embassy Review : On the day of the interview, the waiting time is ridiculous but maybe its just me because I want to get over all the processing of the papers. I brought everything needed except for the ITR of my fiancee( w/c I don't have at that time, it was never sent to me). But the lady who conducted the first interview asked for more documents which is not listed on the packet, which is my birth certificate from the local civil registry. I already have the one from the NSO. Even the American consul wondered why she asked for it. But I still have to comply.

The American Consul is very nice and he just asked basic questions from the papers we submitted.
Rating : Moderate

POE Review: San Francisco

Embassy Review : Everything was very easy when I first arrive in SFO airport. The officers are very nice. It was very smooth. No harassment whatsoever.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
