Natasha and her daughter had their interview on Friday August 15 2008
she said that the man giving the interview was very pleasant, and asked Only a few questions, One of the questions was if she was taking language classes, she told him that she was and he started asking a questions in English, Natasha's daughter
had to translate for her, and the rest of the interview was in Russian. The interviewer did not ask Natasha's daughter (14 years old ) any questions.
Natasha said that she had the impression that they had already decided to give her the visa before she arrived. |

we came through Washington Dulles airport from Kazan,via Frankfurt.
we arrived at 3:00 and we were through customs and immigration in less than 1 hour.
we went through the US citizen line and no one objected. the immigration lady was very nice and polite and only asked Natasha if she spoke English ( she shook her head no, i told the lady that she did speak some, and that she was just nervous) they asked me a few general questions how we met, where do i work, if i have been married before.
all in all no problems, no harassment.

We went to the Norfolk office on April 23, we had a 9:00 appointment, and we saw the agent at 9:30. the interview was simple, he asked me my wifes name , when she was born, her daughters name and the city that my wife was born, her parents name. and he asked my wife the same questions about me. they did not separates us to ask the questions. He asked to see pictures, he asked for marriage cert. and birth certs., I gave him our tax info. my will, and our bank info.
he told us everything was good, except that the clinic in Moscow did not do a full medical, so he told us to get a medical and mail it to him.  |
