Comments : - I-130 Application received 5/29/08.
- Date of NOA1 is 6/4/08.
- NVC received my AOS application on Oct. 27. Letter received on Nov. 3 from NVC indicating that all they need is my husband's DS230 application
before they can schedule an interview. I called to verify whether the letter means that my AOS application has been approved, and the operator indicated that it has been! Yay! I was really worried about this part of the process. I will be sending the completed DS230 to the NVC sometime next week.
- DS230 sent to NVC 11-14-08. Received by NVC on 11-17-08.
- 2/11: I haven't received the appointment letter yet, but I called the NVC last night and they confirmed that we're scheduled for a March 9 interview at 7:30am. Yay! Praise God!

Green Card Received :
Comments : We received the NOA letter on 2/10/11 indicating that they received our I-751 petition. I was concerned because the notice indicates that my husband's green card has been extended one year. I called the service center to see if he'd get a temporary green card evidencing the 1-year extension until his 10-year card comes. I was told that my husband should get a letter within 30 days of receipt of our NOA to schedule the biometrics appointment and that he will not be sent a temporary card until the 10-year card comes through. If we're going to travel out of the country (which we will), the rep advised my husband to take the NOA letter with him along with his green card and passport as that is the only evidence that his green card has been extended for a year. It will take 6 months-1 year from my husband's biometrics appointment for him to receive his 10-year card.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
