Embassy Review : We arrived in London at 7.30am after taking the coach from Glasgow, Scotland we had a very Expensive Crossiant & Tea from a little Italian cafe then I got in line for my 10.30am appointment at 9.15. Went to the lady told her I had nothing except my purse and folder, I then asked people behind me if they had interviews before 10am, one lady did so I let her go in front, then I gave the guy my Passport and Interview letter he checked them and sent me to the security que.

The security guys (after laughing at how many metal buttons I had)sent me threw the scanner then a short walk behind A metal fence to the Embassy front door I waited in a que ffor about 5 minutes got my number from the man at reception (5014) then went upstairs and sat for waited for my number to be called, I was last in the number que there were 5 people before me (In my que which was Immigrant Visa), lots of Non-immigrant visa numbers though.

I was called to booth one 45 minutes later where I was greeted by an asian lady who had a file on her side of the Glass saying 'APPROVED' , I gave her my Police report+Copy, Birth certificate+copy, Affadivit of support including an updated notarised letter of intent from Steven (which she stapled to the back of the forms) she only wanted 2 years of Tax so gave me his 2005 ones back, also gave me his wage slips back, and kept his Letter from Employer, she dissapeared then came back and took my 2 photos. She then said "So you met online?" I said yes, she then preceeded to ask me what Steven does for a living and as she went along she was checking boxes off that clearly were for distinguishing differences between our Application and what I was telling them.It was VERY hard to hear this lady threw the glass I was constantly saying huh? , but she ended it by saying 'I would like to marry you today'.

I was then sent to pay for my Visa, I stood at the wrong place for 15 minutes and heard my name called over the tanoy so I went back to her and she sent me to window 12, where I was asked to pay the fee in either Sterling or Dollars, then I went back to window 1, gave my receipt and sat down.

I was talking to a guy who was going for a non-immigrant visa to pass the time, after an hour I was called to window 17 where I was greeted by an American Lady who greeted me with 'Good Morning how are you?' first was more fingerprints, it was broken and she asked me to check the back of it so I did, but couldnt see anything wrong so I went and got them done by an American man who was clearly having a brilliant day as he was very happy after that I went back to the previous window and was asked some questions like, when did you meet, what do you plan to do in the USA?, what do you do now? what do Steven do? how many times have you visited each other? she was purposely jumping between dates checking that I was being truthful, then she asked when I wanted to travel and when & where the wedding would be, I told her and she said thats fine I will be approving you today go pay the courier fee and have a nice day, so I did!.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Baltimore
Event Description
Entry Date : 2008-11-09
Embassy Review : I was understandably nervous, I split with my Fiance (as we were told to do) and waited in a huge line when I got to the front I gave the officer my packet, told him I am on a K1, he did the usual check my passport etc; and then took me away to another room, my Fiance had already went threw customs and I asked if he could accompany me, they said yes. When I got to the room we sat down, there were other people there and waited for my name to be called, we went up to the desk and the guy checked threw my papers, he told us the usual about marrying within the time limit, said something about how I look alot younger than 22 and then was asking us who cooks in the household, after that he gave me my I-94 and sent me to the baggage area! . Still quite daunting though!
Harassment Level : Moderate

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
