I requested accelerated processing on humanitarian grounds, but it isn't clear whether that factored into the turn-around time for our NOA2. I believe it did, as the NOA2 was received within 10 days of speaking to the agent overlooking our accelerated processing request. The RFE was related to that request.
Our case was also transferred from Amman, Jordan to Damascus, Syria, which resulted in a roughly 2 month delay. Instead of the November 11th, 2008 date posted here, January 13th, 2009 was our actual interview date. There was a further 5-6 week delay due to the embassy requesting an additional co-sponsor. |
