Comments : Needed 2 infopass appointments since after online approval, nothing happened. At 2nd Infopass, talked to someone in Missouri on the phone, found out that AP was never printed there and never sent out. He overnighted a new AP to me via DHL. 2 weeks later, receive another AP (original one) in the mail...5 weeks after the date that it was supposed to have been sent out...

Event Description
Review Date : September 2, 2005
Embassy Review : I had my appointment at 9:30am, which means that you are not actually allowed to even line up outside of the consulate untill 9:30. I was there 30min early and told to go for a walk..Once it was 9:30, the line moved very quickly and I was led through the security check. Make sure not to bring any cellphones or other electronic devices, they will not let you in and will tell you to bring them either to your car or to a newspaper stand up the road! Once inside, I went straight to the window I was told to go to which was in the Immigrant Visa Section and not nearly as busy as all the other windows in the Non-Immigrant section. There, the lady asked for my passport, the passport pictures (which I went to one of those machines real quick and took new ones since my ears were not visible on my old ones, cost 5€), the I134 and other proof of financial support. She also gave me an envelope which I had to put my address on and the stamps (there is a machine for those if you forget them). After that, I waited about 2 hourse before being called to the next window where I had to hand in the police certificate, a copy of my international birth cert with the original (they'll make a copy which you'll have to pay for if you don't bring one) and the lady there went through the whole K1 process and AOS with me. She told me to go sit down again and to wait untill a consul will call me up. I had merely sat down again when I was called up to again another window where the actual interview took place. There was a young man who did the whole fingerprint procedure and then made me sware that all the info provided by me was correct. After that, he basically went through the timeline of my relationship with my fiance and asked a few harmless questions every here and there. It went really quick, and all the sudden he said that I was approved and that they would send me my passport within a few days given that the medical results would turn out okay (I had done the medical the day before in Frankfurt). He also gave me a sheet of paper with a number and his name where I could call in case I had any problems. I had my passport with Visa 4 days later..
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
