Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : JFK
POE Date : 2008-07-07 Submit Review
Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp
Biometrics Taken : No
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : At the airport as soon as you tell check-in that you are not coming back and show them the visa, they will give you the WHITE I-94.
The staff at JFK were friendly and courteous. If there is someone there directing traffic, tell that person that you have paperwork for immigration. If there is no one else in line, the officer you see will look at the paper work and may ask a few questions. The questions that were asked of me were quite simple. After that, he will tell you to go somewhere else, and you will be directed by another officer. Give the paperwork to yet another officer, and he will tell you to take a seat. Unless he or she has to ask you more questions thats it. The I-94 should have a temp EAD stamp on the back. I wish all going through this all the luck, but if your going through JFK it really is a breeze.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
