Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 22, 2008
Embassy Review : arrived early for our appointment, for 8:30am. submitted papers at window 12, then waited what seemed like a long time for the first person to finish her interview, who I later found out was denied...We were the next in line, entered the infamous, room 15.. the co, first had trouble with the fingerprint scanner, then reviewed our papers, asked meche a few questions in spanish, how did we meet, when did we get married, what did she like about me, blah blah blah..finally said we had a problem with US domicile, so I was prepared with a mountain of documents, and explained the situation..He then said ok, looks good, and granted the visa..Thanks to one and all, for the tremendous amount of information on this site...My advice to all, is to educate yourself on the process, take one step at a time, be patient, and it will all work out..If DFC is an option for you it is the only way to go...From submitting the I-130 to visa in hand was 5 weeks..unbelievably fast..thanks to all...Daniel and Meche..
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
