Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 19, 2008
Embassy Review : J's interview was yesterday, he was scheduled for 8:30 AM. Arrived by 8:00, and then waited for 4+ hours. He didn't mention if it was crowded, only that the consul was busy elsewhere. After 4 hours, the woman at one of the windows told him it would be about another hour; later she told him that it would be too late for his medical, which was supposed to be after the interview.
He said they didn't ask any questions about us or for proof of our relationship.
He felt that if the consul had been more readily available, the whole thing would have take about 2 1/2 hours.
He also said he was astonished that the interview was conducted in German; he has very good English, so it would definitely not have been a problem.
4 out of 5; too bad they didn't allow him to get his medical done before the interview...
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
