Comments : Don't be afraid to contact your Congressman or Senators from your state, they can and were a very big help for us!

Sen was approved for her Visa on 27 November 2007! Sen is also allowed to pick up her Visa in person in 2 days!

Okay, here is an update on things as of 3/3/2008! The marriage is great, we are adjusting great, and Sen is learning how to drive here in the U.S. Found out that since Sen had a Philippine Drivers License she is able to drive here in the states for 6 months unaccompanied. After that, she can get a drivers permit and drive another 6 months unaccompanied. We have many things planned for the summer and can't wait for the weather to get warm so we can get out and enjoy nature without freezing our butts!

Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 17, 2007
Embassy Review : My visa was approved and also our request for visa pick up! Thanks to all the informative threads here in visa journey that helped us throughout the process!

The Filipina pre-screener only asked pertinent documents like divorce decrees, affidavit of support, email, chat messages and pictures.

The consul was nice, it wasn't like an interview... more of a light chat! Note that he was smiling if not laughing the whole time!

He asked me:
*Where did we meet.. told him thru internet
*what site..... Hot or not
*is he (my fiance) hot?... told him Yes sir! And so am I!!!! He laughed.
*did he propose?
*how many divorce did my fiance had?
*he asked where the pictures were taken, our picture with a background "simpson the movie" caught his attention, and our Mt Pinatubo Trek, he asked how long was the trek and told me that he once saw the crater but on board a helicopter!
* About my job....
-what kind of job I have...
-did I go into the academy or some sort of training?
-how was I commissioned?
-where am I assigned?
* he browsed thru our chat messages.... he laughed again... I asked why, and he told me coz he saw Britney! I said yes sir, me and my fiance talk about everything even Britney!! He replied back "Yes, that's what i'm looking how real is your relationship!"
*He said "Let's check if your comrades have any record of you." he typed my name on his computer, and said " Clear! and your are approved!"

I thanked him after that. I asked him for a visa pick up which he granted. I also gave him the letter request for visa pick up that Neil prepared. The pink slip was handed to me in window 37 if i can recall i right.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
